Great treat massage venue! I just visited for a mssage and reflexology appt. after I sent my kids back to school after a summer of racing around. Good service, great atmosphere, very relaxing! Next visit will be a steam tent!

This was an amazing experience. The folks at Elixir really have it down, from an incredible front staff, one of whom placed a warm, yummy-smelling pack on my neck while I filled out their form, to fixing me a cup of herbal tea, to a massage therapist (Karla) who I liked from the moment I saw her. She is not only a terrific and gifted massage therapist, she's a good person with a lovely smile. My appointment was for a 60 minute massage but she worked on me for almost 90: "I hope you don't mind if I go over -- my lunch break is next so no problem working a little extra on you." Are you kidding me???Even the sheets on the tables are remarkable.
I will SO be back for a membership.

Had a massage here the past weekend and was thoroughly satisfied with the service that I got and for the price I paid:- Being welcomed personally by the manager/staff member I spoke with on the phone
- A warm massage table and soft linens
- A choice of aromatherapy oils. I chose "Serenity" (or it chose me) ;)
- Professional massage that is caring and attentive
- The ability to choose the style of music/sounds! I chose "Nature" and "New Age"
It was so relaxing I could bare make the 2 block walk back to my hotel. Kudos and many thanks to the staff at Elixir for giving me a little, peace, comfort and joy! :)

5/2/2010 *****Ask for Jessica M. (if you like deep tissue massages) My husband got me a 90min massage as a bday gift. He said he based his decision on 5280. I'll admin, I was hesitant, and felt bad if he dropped $ on a crap massage. I've been to a few places in Denver, and they're usually a 3 out of 10. Either the pressure wasn't enough - even if I asked for harder, or I felt rushed and didn't get the time I paid for.
Going into this - I was like, you know, hubby gave a kick ass gift, I'll try to enjoy it the best I can, if it sucks, whatever.
I get there 15 minutes early, as requested. The ladies that worked the front desk all seemed nice, in their matching green shirts. There's a 2 page form to fill out. It asks questions about music preference, allergies, what type of massage I wanted, any phobias. I kinda laughed and was a smart ass about it - I have a phobia of clowns and stupid people...I get a wrap around my neck, offered water/tea while I sit there and wait.
Jessica M. comes out with a few of the other masseuses to direct their assigned massagee to their designated room. Mine was all the way in the back - lights are dimmed. By the time we're done our intros, she leaves me to disrobe - to my comfort level of course. My appt is at 230, I'm on the table at 2:28.
Jessica comes back with warm towels on my back and on my feet. The process was amazing. I found myself drifting in and out of mini naps. She didn't force me to have lengthy convos, she'd ask me if the pressure was ok and how I was doing. I'm sure if i wanted to be chatty cathy, she'd totally be there to facilitate, but I was suffering from a rocking food coma and the massage was so intensely amazing, that I just wasn't coherent.
When she flipped me over (it was rough, I was jelly and moving seemed too hard core) - she lifted the sheet and we did the procedure quickly. Why I'm mentioning this - most massage places, will have the masseuse leave and come back (which eats up like 5-7 minutes of your actually massage time). She "wakes me up" and tells me that's about all the time we have for today - so cute!! I think I said something nice, but seriously I was so high from my massage that I barely was able to get off the table and dress myself.
I did get my full 90 minutes worth. It was a little after 4 when she left the room. I know there are reviews that people feel like it's a rip off, or they didn't get their time - I think it's mostly due to the massage therapist. Jessica M. (there are other Jessica's there), RULES!! She really puts in the effort - found knots that I didn't even know I had, and I felt like butter afterwards. Hard to do b/c I'm so high strung and stressed all the time, it's ridiculous to believe my body isn't tight. Well worth the $, well worth the time.
Any dislikes - pushy sales at the end - to join membership, seriously, talk to me about it BEFORE. When I'm all relaxed after my massage, the only thing I want to think about it how relaxed I am, not debating on a package. I was also thinking that massage places should send their clients home with a candle or aromatherapy awesomeness - how fun would that be, to continue the relaxation awesomeness throughout the day.
I thoroughly enjoyed my session and hoping to go back again soon (if time permits - I'm total Type A and hard to relax and devoting that much time away from my blackberry - eeps)
Jack M. 4/6/2010 ***** We stopped by Elixir in the Fall of '09 on a stop over in Denver for several days Why oh why can we not have places this chill in La Jolla-- or Orange County for that matter. Everything is so warm, and elegant yet unpretencious. The scent of the candles, the lighting, the decor, every element of the ambience was as relaxing as the massage.-- which was beyond first rate. What a nice thing they have going here! Jack The Tour
Jack G. 3/23/2010 *****I am always a little hesitant to go into a spa type setting for a massage. My life style is extremely athletic as I teach full contact sports. As a result, when I am looking for a massage I tend to find a place that specializes in deep tissue and neuro muscular work. Normally I look for a place with a "medical" feel to it. I recently decided to book an appointment close to my neighborhood in downtown Denver. I knew of Elixir so I made an appointment and went in.
As I expected, the environment was impeccably clean, inviting and relaxing. It was complete with warm neck towel and even a restorative tonic. Elixir had a decadent Spa feel but the prices were great. The price wasn't the best part though.
As is customary, my therapist asked me a few detailed questions about what kind of massage I wanted and about my injury history. Still I was dubious about what kind of massage I would receive. After my visit I have to say what impressed me most is the degree of massage expertise the therapist possessed. The quality of massage I received was comparable to the kind I have received at places dedicated to therapy for serious athletes. Without hesitation I would recommend Elixir even to competitive athletes. Thank you Elixir you staff is excellent.Casey W. Denver, CO

Me and Elixir first met on my Birthday. I had friends in town for a show at Red Rocks- and my girlfriend and I wanted to do a couples massage (NOT like that!) She was footing the bill- I work downtown, and as an avid Yelper this place seemed like the best fit. The last massage I had (in Breckenridge) the woman left tiny little fingerprint bruises all over my back...since I told her I like it rough- just not that rough! THIS PLACE ROCKS MY LITTLE WORLD! I love the lobby and the elixirs, the sheets make me feel like I died and went to sheet heaven (sooo warm, sooo soft!) Andrea was like a god on my back! I have been back numerous times, I have bought gift certificates for my friends- I think finding a good massage place is like finding a great hairdresser...so I am keeping Elixir around for life :)Vi N.

I found this AMAZING place in 5280's Top of the Town over a year ago and could not have been more thrilled after my first visit. The ultimate massage there, in my opinion, is the classic steam massage. You walk in and you're given a nice and warm neck wrap and one of their "tonics" to drink while waiting. Then you're lead into a room with lovely low lighting and your choice of music playing. The table is covered in these great, soft sheets. I've seen Meg twice and can't imagine going to anyone else there now.Totally posh.

It's spotless, the sheets are like (or are?) silk, they play whatever type of music you like, your feet are wrapped in hot towels while you get your massage, and the memberships are a great deal if you like/need regular massages.
My therapist will be quiet when I want to be quiet, or talk & laugh when I feel like it; and he explains what muscles are having issues and what types of stretches I can do to prevent further problems. Truly invested in my well-being.
It's just luxurious there. It's a tad expensive with tip if you don't do the membership, but I'd say it's worth it. Love that place.
Pros: great massage, great atmosphere, open Sundays
Cons: meter only parking12/20/09 Sierra B. *****

I heard about Elixir from a good friend of mine that has been a client of theirs for quite some time so I decided that I would give it a try and wow, I was thoroughly impressed! Right when I walked in I checked in, and as I was filling out some paperwork I got a heating pad put on my neck and was offered a beverage. My therapist, Judy, was absoultely as sweet as can be. Not only that, she helped me with some serious problems with my shoulders that ive had ever since I can remember. She showed me some stretches and things to do at home that have already help. I also purchased some creme called Muscle Ice (or something along those lines..) that has really helped with lower back pain at night. Thanks so much to Judy and everyone at Elixir for making me feel like a princess!
Pros: Staff, Products, Over all experience
Cons: I dont live closer!11/13/09 Kari G. Wonderful place for a relaxing, individualized massage! During my visit to Denver, I wanted to find somewhere to receive a good massage. I wasn't sure what to expect to find. So many bodywork places these days charge by the modality (deep tissue, relaxation, etc.), rather than just time. The Elixir staff are warm & inviting, as is the atmosphere. The massage was superb; I was looking for an hour mainly consisting of deep tissue upper body work along with some emphasis on my feet. And the price was a steal!! If you're looking for quality, professionalism & a massage tailored to you...go to Elixir!!!
- Pros: Friendly staff, easy to find, very relaxing environment
- Cons: Elixir is in Denver & I'm not!!
5/29/2009 Margaret N. Using http://spafinder.com, I found Elixir. I couldn't be more happy with my massage. My therapist was amazing. Before we started she wanted to make sure that she focused on what I wanted to focus on, and she did exactly that. They had a promotion involving their new hot shells, and I have to say I would do it again. It definitely got into the little knots that needed some heat to relax.
Just from entering the establishment, I knew that I would enjoy my time here. Upon entering I received the customary neck warmer and was offered something to drink. The room itself was dimly lit, and the music playing was what I had selected. A reviewer mentioned that their masseuse was too chatty, but all they had to do was say something right? I wasn't pressured into purchasing any of the products they had which was nice. However I did find out that you could buy the sheets I was lying on, and the shells that they use.
I can't wait to go back for my next appointment!
5/10/2009 Jessica C. Re: Online Gift Certificates- This is a fantastic service. Being able to print it out online and in no time. Just another great service Elixir offers.
5/10/2009 Dan S. Great online gift certificates! I logged on expecting much much less than what you offered.

Going to Elixr is an occasional treat for me. I carry a lot of heavy gear for work and tend to collect tension in my shoulders and neck. When the pain really gets to me I schedule an appointment at Elixr for the "Elixr Massage".
I love the environment at Elixr. Everything is a pleasing sensory experience. The incredibly soft sheets on the massage tables, the smells, the lighting. I love the warm neck wrap while I wait and the pleasant people who work there.
in my experience the masseuses are always very responsive to my needs and will change their pressure if I ask them to and concentrate on the areas I request.
I have experienced the upsell, but have never had a hard time saying no...
if I could afford a membership and regular visits I definitely would!

I decided to give this place a try during spa week. ($50 sports massage - woohoo)
Fabulous parts:
Warm neck wrap when you check in
Aromatherapy in the head rest - oh my gawd so nice
Sheets that were so amazingly soft
Heated massage bed
You select your own music or even bring your own
Specialized massage lotion for your issues
Fabulously relaxing massage
Eye pillow when you flip over
Deep tissue
Wonderful massues
The kicker:
Everything was absolutely amazing until the upsell... sigh.
It ruined the entire relaxing part.
I know the products are great and all natural, but don't push them on me.
It would have been a 5 star, but i have to knock it down because of the upsell.

Let me just preface this by saying that if you can handle 30 minutes of rubbing my feet and come out of it alive and with a pleasant attitude, then you belong in my Italian Catholic mother's book of saints and don't you forget it.
Elixir does not f*** around, and that's all i gotta say. i had the half hour massage, and a half hour of reflexology, and I'm like a new woman. I have sideways hunchback from my glamorous life as an advertising art director (golf claps and champagne snorts here, please), and my lovely masseuse tore my back muscles a new asshole and didn't look back. Plus, the price was really reasonable. Lets put it this way: I work in Belmar, and have no shame about letting the lube-holster wielding meat-hooked ladies of Massage Envy lay their claws into me for forty bucks every once in a while. I hold no pride. But for about an equally reasonable price I can go to Elixir and walk out feeling healed and dignified. With a good attitude, even! Which is more than I've got on most dates. So how can you lose?
Thumbs up for the Elixir babes. They know what they're up to!

I don't think it could get better. I bought a membership after just 2 tries. The steam table service is like a sauna, but without the unhealthy heating of the head. Perfect!
Reflexology is a delight. Facial massage is pleasant. Full body is good and hot stone is nice too. Everything is very clean, very classy and upscale without being hoity-toity.
With a 20% discount on all their services, this makes it even better with a membership.

HIGHLY recommended. I went in for the "Techie Tweak", which is geared towards professionals who sit in front of a computer all day.
The experience was pampering from the very beginning as the friendly staff placed a warm pillow around my neck while I filled out the first-timer paperwork. The lobby and massage rooms are comfortable and aesthetically pleasing, and the masseuse was wonderful. After the massage another friendly staff member mixed me a delicious fruity tonic drink while I perused Elixir's small, cute boutique.
The pricing is very reasonable and I even received a thank you card in the mail! I will definitely go back.
Sent 9/10/08 We sent our two admin people to Elixir last week for the 1/2 day treatment (in recognition of their putting up with jackhammers outside for a month), and they LOVED it. Megan said she was so relaxed, that if she had been told afterwards that they had removed her kidneys during her massage and sold them on-line, that she wouldn't have noticed, or cared! - Tia, Architect/President

I read some good reviews on YELP so I had to find out for myself. Last wkend I treated myself to the Elixir Signature Spa - great value for what you get - 2.5hours of sheer bliss. From the time I entered the premises, the service was genuinely hospitable. The place is impeccably clean. Ketty was my masseuse and she was fantastic. Since we both lived in Philly, we had alot to discuss, but she knew when to let me zone out... I highly recommend you try the experience.

As for me, I just had foot surgery a month prior to my massage and I felt the employee paid close to my needs and want while being carful of my injury.I have recommended Elixir to many of my friend.
Fabulous visit to a relaxing and well run spa!
I had a fabulous visit yesterday to elixir as a first time massage customer. I was pleasantly greeted and welcomed and offered an elixir for relaxation. I then received a warm therapeutic wrap for my neck and shoulders to begin the relaxation process. The surroundings were comfortable and beautiful - calm and quiet. I had a very nice massage from Jen who worked the tension out of my back and shoulders specifically. I left feeling relaxed, calm and great. It was refreshing to be asked "is there anything we could have done better?" upon checking out. I believe the owners truly want to make sure their customers are receiving the best in care. I will definitely be back!

The therapist was very intuitive and focused on exactly what I needed. Beautiful space and easy to find.
I wanted to say thanks for the good service and great deal Saturday night. Laurie and I very much enjoyed our experience at Elixer. From the moment we came in we were treated as valued guests. The therapists came and introduced themselves to us and off we went to our room. It was a very comfortable classy setting. The therapists did a fine job of making is feel good all the way to the end.
I wish you all the success you desire. I am sure you will have many happy customers based on our experience and you will be looking for the location for Elixer II, soon.
Thanks for making our weekend, we look forward to coming to see your folks again.

Pros: SUZANNE, GREAT DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
Cons: SORRY I DO NOT HAVE ANY.

My legs, feet and back ached so bad I didn't want to get out of bed but I am so glad I did. I feel like a new woman. My husband (the saint) bought me a gift certificate to Elixir for their Pregnancy massage package. They were so gracious and welcoming. As soon as I came in they gave me a special tea just for expecting moms and a warm neck wrap. The massage itself was so soothing, the tummy mask really eased that "too tight" feeling of my skin and the leg and foot scrub make me realize that my feet could feel something other than swollen. I loved the Mama Mio products they used and I even got my own sampler to take home. If you are pregant or know someone who is go to Elixir, they know their stuff.
Pros: Great space, they pay attention to details, very relaxing, sheets were sooo soft
Cons: I know everyone says parking is difficult but I found a space right out front

I was HIGHLY pleased when me and my husband went in for massages at elixir. Not only is it located in an easy to find place and close to everything fun in downtown, but the atmosphere was amazing! Such a relaxing downtown studio and everything on the inside was decorated well; it was very eye catching and pleasing to the senses. Not only that, but the staff was knowledgable, friendly and provided outstanding customer service. I get massages at least once a month, and Rives is the best therapist I have ever been to! She is great at making all your kinks go away, but at the same time, not hurting you and pushing you too far. An overall WONDERFUL experience. Highly recomended to all! Thanks for the great day Elixir!
Pros: The Therapist
Cons: Parking Downtown is Always a Pain!

It opened 3 weeks ago. It's modern. It's tasteful. It has exposed brick. It has 350 thread count sheets. It looks like a loft. It's very LoDo. But, don't expect facials at this non-spa. It's actually a massage center (duh). Massages are the only available treatment and there's too many to pick from. There's the Elixir, it's a custom massage. There's the Four Hand, you get two masseuses at once. There's the Chair massage, it can come to your office. Then there's the Hot Stone and the Couple's massage. And there's even reflexology. My massage at Elixir was, by far, one of the best that I've ever had. I tried the "steam table" massage accompanied w/ aromatherapy and came out feeling like a million dollars. Their staff is very friendly and knowledgable and the therapists are truly gifted in their techniques. You also can't beat the deal they have with their 6 month or 1 year membership offers. Elixir will definitely become a permanent fixture in the Lodo community.
Pros: everything!!
Cons: parking can definitely be a pain, but it's well worth the hassle

Pros: Beautiful location, lots of options, great therapists
Cons: Parking is tough on the weekends

Officing downtown has new advantages, you can now spend rush hour getting a massage at Elixir Mind and Body massage instead of getting stressed out in your car for the same hour. I treated myself at the urging of a friend and was a member before the massage was half way over. Love the exposed brick interior, super quiet setting, chose my own music. First went with 2 other friends and it was a huge treat - this spa has truly thought of everything for your best massage experience, I've been getting massage for years and all three of the therapists I had so far have been excellent. Next on my agenda is their steam table massage. Love the location, right near Tattered Cover and dozens of restaurants nearby to enjoy after visiting Elixir. I'm lucky, they located 2 blocks from my office. They are coming to the office next week for all my employees to experience a chair massage - great for everybody's "computer shoulders". Everything smell wonderful at Elixir - especially the spa chocolates!
Pros: Actually very accessible - 1/2 blk off 16th St. Mall Shuttle & Good Meter Pkg
Cons: Free Parking on Sunday is nice - otherwise typical LoDo Pkg issues but this is better than most due to prime location
My name is Jessica and I am a massage therapist at Elixir in Lodo. I love working here! The downtown atmosphere is wonderful and Elixir adds to its many experiences. I would highly recommend Elixir to anyone for a great massage. I feel that the massage team is highly knowledgable and give Elixir the final touch on being the best place to get massaged.
